Hey peeps! Happy Valentine's Day! Hopefully everyone has an awesome day reminding ourselves to cherish our love one today :)
My valentine's day? I had dinner with my parents and that's it! hahaha! Ken and I don't normally celebrate Valentine's Day because we believe that everyday is Valentine's Day to us as long as we love, cherish and find joy in each other's companion!
Still, we always need this day to remind us to do something for our love one especially if we haven't been doing much to show our love.
Listen up! Show your love and don't just expect you other half to understand :)
I have been wanting to try make chocolate truffles for Ken a very long time ago but it didn't happen because as you know, I was away and missed Valentine's Day in Malaysia for about 3 years. I got the idea of hand-making chocolate for Ken from manga! LOLX! Such an otaku. The Japanese girls make it such a big deal to hand make chocolates that it kind of affect me too ><
Last Sunday I had a movie date with Ken at home to watch "How to Train Your Dragon"! It was a pretty good movie!
He is always so shy to look at the camera :(
After he left, I geared up to make chocolate truffles for him. So here goes:
Semisweet baking chocolate
With boiled heavy cream
Then I stir...
and stir...
add in some butter and continue stirring....
and Lo and Behold... The baby is out :) Smooth and Silky
Roasted some nuts
Waited forever for the ganache to harden but it doesn't so i had to chill it and work fast. Tada~~
It must be keep in fridge because it doesn't harden as stated in the recipe :( FAIL!!
So when I gave it to Ken on Monday evening, it was soft and gooey :( Never mind, it's the heart that counts! *self-comfort*
We have training with coach on Monday night at about 9pm so we have lots of free time before that and we decided to go for dinner :) At first we wanted to go eat India rice because there is a famous one near his work place but when we reached, it wasn't open :(
Then he suggests to go for seafood because he knows I love and have craving for crabs! Such a sweetie! :)
Apple juice! Ken was like "Don't tell me you want to take picture of apple juice" BUT I did! LOLX
Their signature tofu! Nom Nom :)
The Four Heavenly King dish with sambal belacan! Awesome!
Crab with salted egg and milk! It's a kind of sweet sauce, not bad but we will prefer something savoury :)
Ken always don't look at camera because he super paiseh! He say got a lot of people looking BUT why so perasan? Everyone is minding their own business no one bother to look except for the workers who have nothing better to do XD
But hey, I say have to take picture because this is the first time only the both of us go to Chinese resturant to order dishes. Normally we go with a pack so have to record ma! kekeke
Happy Valentine's Day Tormu! You bring joy to me and brightens up my world! Although at times we have disagreements but our love never fades! Love you tons!!
